I don't want to let go,
But my fingers are slipping past,
You're floating away,
Like a dream from the night before gone to rest.
You were always the love that filled my heart,
The tissue to clear away my tears,
The hand i grabbed when i was in need,
The smile that warmed my life.
And now,
Every time i close my eyes,
There you are,
Smiling at me like nothing went wrong.
Like there is no sadness.
No pain.
That the tears i try to cry don't exist,
Like this pain in my chest was a nightmare.
I can't live without you,
I just can't stand it,
A world without you,
Is a world that just doesn't spin.
But it does.
It all keeps going,
The world it keeps spinning,
The rain it keeps falling.
Round and round,
Down and down,
Like you didn't even exist,
Barely a blip on the earths history.
The sun is slipping down,
And the moons just not enough,
Please don't leave me now,
I just can't walk alone.
